First Indian women to go to the moon


Sunita Williams was the first Indian women to go to the moon. She was born in Euclid, Ohio but her ancestors were from Gujarat. She was born on September, 19 1965.she graduated in 1983. She was an American astronaut and a United states Navy officer who holds the record for longest space flight by a women. She became the commander of the International Space Station on September, 17 2012 being only the second women to achieve the feat. She was selected for the U.S. Navel Test Pilot School and began the courses on January 1993. She was selected by the NASA in June 1998, began her training at the Jonson Space Center on August 1998.She has participated in six space walks during her astronaut career her total spent on space walks is 44hours and 2 minutes. This is also a amazing achievement
